What's wrong?
The fuel tubes on affected 2019-2022 Xcp, 4700, 114SD, 49X, 47X, Cascadia, WF110, and WJ121 vehicles carry diesel fuel from the fuel rail to the engine injectors. The fuel rail holds fuel under high pressure, and the tubes route that fuel to the injectors for each cylinder. The system depends on those metal tubes staying sealed while the engine vibrates and works under load.
In this recall, the tubes feeding cylinders 4, 5, and 6 can fatigue and crack. A crack in one of those tubes lets high-pressure diesel fuel escape near the engine instead of reaching the injector.
