What's wrong?
The 20" x 30" frameless exit window on the 2019-2022 Coach House Platinum Ii and Platinum recreational vehicles is a vented window assembly. The fixed frame holds the window in the side wall, while the vented portion opens for air flow and also has to stay bonded to the rest of the window. That bond keeps the moving glass section secure during travel.
On affected vehicles, stress in the window assembly can break down the adhesive bond that holds the vented portion in place. The problem traces to adhesive bonding on certain Lippert 6400 Series vented windows supplied for these motorhomes. When the bond weakens, the vented section no longer has the attachment strength it was designed to have.
The owner-visible sign is a change in the bond around the vented portion of the exit window. During regular maintenance, look for an edge that appears loose or separated from the frame. Coach House and Lippert also described a GO / NO GO tool used to identify whether the window needs replacement.
