Recall 21V399 covers 276 2018-2021 Temsa TS35E, TS35C, and TS45 buses for a fuel rail leak. Repair is free at any franchised Temsa dealer.
Temsa is recalling 276 2018-2021 TS35E, TS35C, and TS45 vehicles because sealing washers in the pilot bore holes can fail to seat correctly, which allows the high pressure fuel rail assembly to leak. Fuel leaking near an ignition source increases the risk of a fire, and Temsa dealers will complete the repair free of charge.

What's wrong?
The high-pressure fuel rail on the 2018-2021 Temsa TS35E, TS35C, and TS45 carries diesel fuel under pressure from the Cummins engine fuel system to the injectors. The injectors use that pressure to deliver fuel into the engine. A sealing washer at the rail end is supposed to sit squarely in its bore and keep the joint sealed.
On affected vehicles, the pilot bore for that sealing washer is undersized. The washer does not seat correctly, so the joint does not get the clamping load it needs to stay sealed in service. As the engine runs, diesel fuel can leak from the high-pressure fuel rail assembly.
An operator can see diesel fuel or smell diesel fuel around the vehicle. The check engine lamp can also illuminate. Those are the warning signs to report when contacting a Temsa dealer.
Who's affected?
Covers three Temsa bus models across the 2018, 2019, 2020, and 2021 model years, all tied to the fuel rail in Cummins diesel engines.

What's the safety risk?
A fuel leak near an ignition source increases the risk of a fire. If you smell or see diesel fuel, or the check engine lamp comes on, park safely and call a Temsa dealer before continuing service. Repair is free at any franchised Temsa dealer.
What should I do?
- Check your VIN to confirm your 2018-2021 Temsa TS35E, TS35C, or TS45 is included in this recall.
- Contact a franchised Temsa dealer to schedule the free fuel-rail inspection and any needed rail replacement.
- Tell the dealer the high-pressure fuel rail can leak because the sealing washer does not seat correctly, and reference recall number 21V399 when you call.
- Bring the owner notice if you have it; the dealer repair is free.
- Keep the vehicle away from open flames or other ignition sources if you notice a fuel leak before the repair.
What happens at the repair
At the dealer, a Temsa technician inspects the rail threads and fuel lines, then replaces the high pressure fuel rail if the inspection shows the rail needs replacement. The inspection, replacement rail, and labor are free under the recall. Temsa has a general reimbursement plan on file for owners who already paid for a related repair before the recall notice. Bring repair paperwork and payment documentation to the service desk, or contact Temsa customer service at 1-800-625-9319 for the reimbursement process.
