What's wrong?
The Auto Generator Start (AGS) remote harness is the bundle of wires that lets you start and stop the onboard generator from the control panel inside the motorhome. On LP and gasoline generators in these Triple E Rv coaches, the harness runs through the generator housing, sitting near the cooling fan that spins whenever the generator is operating.
On affected units built starting with the 2020 model year, the AGS harness was installed without the two nylon ties that bundle the excess wire away from the fan. With the harness loose inside the housing, the spinning fan can pull the wires in and sever them. Once the wires are cut, the remote switch loses its connection to the generator.
The first sign is usually the generator failing to start when you press the remote switch inside the coach. It can also fail to shut off when you turn it off from that same switch. Either behavior points to damage in the AGS harness.

What's the safety risk?
Damaged wiring in the generator harness creates an electrical shock hazard and raises the risk of injury when the system is handled or serviced. The harness can also stop the generator from shutting off from the remote switch, or keep it from starting when needed. Schedule the repair soon and avoid working around the generator wiring until a dealer secures the harness. Repair is free at any franchised Triple E Rv dealer.
What should I do?
- Check your VIN to confirm your 2020-2021 Triple E Rv Wonder, Serenity, or Unity is included in this recall.
- Contact your nearest franchised Triple E Rv dealer to schedule the wire-bundling repair that protects the auto-generator-start harness from the generator fan.
- Reference recall number 21V320 (Triple E recall CA#9927-1) when you call the dealer, and bring the owner notification letter if you received one.
- Call Triple E Rv customer service at 1-877-992-9906 with any questions about the recall or scheduling.
- Avoid using the auto-generator-start function until the wires are bundled, since damaged wires can cause an electrical shock.
What happens at the repair
At the dealer, a Triple E Rv technician bundles the auto generator start remote harness wires with nylon ties so the generator fan cannot damage them. Parts and labor are free under the recall. If you previously paid out of pocket for a repair tied to the damaged harness wires before the recall notice, Triple E's reimbursement plan covers documented expenses for retail owners and servicing centers. Bring your receipts and any related paperwork to the service desk when you arrive so the dealer can process the claim.
