What's wrong?
The Dometic 3 burner cooking stove in these 2019-2020 Jayco motorhomes uses propane gas to feed the cooktop burners. A saddle valve and o-ring seal help keep that gas contained at the stove connection, so gas reaches the burner only when the appliance is being used.
The defect is at the saddle valve securing bolt. If that bolt is tightened too far, it can damage the o-ring seal, which is the small rubber ring that seals the gas connection. Once the seal is damaged, propane gas can leak continuously instead of staying inside the stove system.
There is no warning sign before failure. Jayco identifies repaired stoves by the stove serial number and an orange sticker behind the center burner knob showing the recall remedy was performed.

What happens at the repair
At the service center, the technician installs Dometic's remedy kit on the 3 burner cooking stove. The kit includes gaskets, washers, thread locker bolts, and 2 round orange labels tied to the manifold bolt and valve seal repair. The recall repair is available now, and parts and labor are covered. If you already paid out of pocket for this same stove repair before the May 3, 2021 owner letter, Jayco's standard reimbursement plan applies to documented eligible expenses. Bring repair paperwork to the service desk.
