What's wrong?
The Dometic 3 burner cooking stove in the 2019-2020 Jayco Travel Trailer Jay Feather, White Hawk, Jay Flight Slx, and Jay Flight trailers is the propane appliance used for cooking inside the trailer. Gas flows through the stove valve assembly, and the o-ring seal is supposed to keep that gas contained while the burners are off or in use.
On affected stoves, the saddle valve securing bolt was tightened too much during assembly. That extra clamp force damages the o-ring seal. Once the seal is damaged, propane does not stay contained in the valve assembly, which creates a continuous gas leak.
There is no warning sign before failure. If an orange sticker is already present on the stove, Jayco's recall information says the repair was already performed.
