What's wrong?
The affected wiring connector is a Molex connector in the underbody of 2016-2018 Grand Design Reflection fifth-wheel and travel trailers. It acts as a junction for 110 Volt wiring, so power can pass through the trailer's electrical system at that connection. The connector is supposed to stay secured above the low point of the underbelly material, away from trapped water.
On affected Reflection trailers, the connector was not secured well enough. Over time, road movement can let it settle toward the bottom of the underbelly, where water intrusion can reach the wiring connection. When water reaches that energized connector, the circuit can short instead of carrying power normally. Grand Design says the recall fixes the securement of the connector; no component replacement is involved.
The warning sign is circuit interruption on the electrical circuit powered through that connector. If an electrical circuit stops working, note what lost power and tell the Grand Design dealer before the recall repair.
Who's affected?
Covers the Reflection across the 2016, 2017, and 2018 model years, with the same wiring component listed for each year.

A matching year and model does not guarantee inclusion. Check your VIN to confirm whether your specific trailer is included.
What's the safety risk?
Water entering the wiring connector can cause a short circuit and increase the risk of a fire. If a connected electrical circuit stops working, treat that as a sign to stop using that circuit and schedule the inspection. Dealers inspect and secure the wiring connectors to keep water out. Repair is free at any franchised Grand Design dealer.
What should I do?

- Contact a franchised Grand Design dealer to schedule the free wiring-connector inspection and securing repair that helps prevent water intrusion and an electrical short.
- Bring the recall notice if you have it. Reference recall number 20V362 when you call.
- Avoid towing or using the trailer in wet conditions until the underbody wiring connector is inspected and secured.
What happens at the repair
At the dealer, a Grand Design technician inspects the underbody wiring connector and secures the connector so water cannot enter and short the wiring. The recall repair is free, with parts and labor covered. Grand Design says owners who already paid to have this service performed will be reimbursed immediately by Grand Design. Bring your repair invoice or payment documentation to the dealer service desk so they can start the claim.
