What's wrong?
The LCI 3000 Series frameless windows on 2020 Highland Ridge Tt Mesa Ridge, Open Range, and Silverstar recreational trailers use bonded glass instead of a traditional framed pane. In the crank out vent and egress windows, adhesive holds the glass to a metal hinge frame. That frame supports the glass as the window opens, closes, and stays attached to the trailer body.
On affected trailers, the adhesive bond between the glass and the metal hinge frame can fail. Lippert Components Inc. changed from a Sika adhesive to a DOW adhesive on windows produced from 1/6/2020 through 1/23/2020, then switched back after adhesion failures were found. When the bond lets go, the glass detaches from the hinge frame and falls out.
There is no warning sign before failure. The first sign is the glass separating from the window assembly or missing from the trailer.
