What's wrong?
The center lock wheel nut on 2019-2020 Can-Am Ryker motorcycles is the large nut that clamps each wheel to its hub. The Ryker uses one nut at each wheel, so that nut has to hold the wheel tight while the suspension and steering loads move through the hub.
On included Rykers, the aluminum tube used to make the nut was hollowed during production. In some sections, the metal did not fuse correctly inside that tube. That weak spot can crack after the nut is installed, and a cracked nut no longer holds the wheel with the intended clamping force. As the crack grows, the wheel can loosen on the hub.
There is no warning sign before failure. If the nut cracks, the first thing an owner notices can be wheel looseness, vibration, or a wheel that no longer feels secure.
Who's affected?
Covers the 2019 and 2020 Ryker, with the same center lock wheel nut listed for both years.

The year and model narrow the scope, but the VIN decides. Check your VIN to confirm whether your specific motorcycle is included.
What's the safety risk?
Loose wheels can cause a loss of vehicle control and increase the risk of a crash. Until the wheel nuts are replaced, ride cautiously and schedule the repair soon. Repair is free at any franchised Can-Am dealer.
