Recall 19V569 affects 134 2019 Honda Cr-V vehicles for a fuel tank weld that can leak. Repair is free at any franchised Honda dealer.
Honda is recalling 134 2019 Cr-V vehicles because the joint weld between the fuel tank and vapor return line was not welded enough. If that weld fails, fuel can leak and raise the risk of fire near an ignition source; Honda dealers will complete the recall repair free of charge.

What's wrong?
The fuel tank on the 2019 Honda Cr-V stores gasoline and feeds it to the engine through the fuel system. A vapor return line connects to the tank so fuel vapors can move through the emissions system instead of escaping around the tank. That joint has to stay sealed while the vehicle is driven, parked, and refueled.
On affected Cr-V vehicles, the weld where the vapor return line joins the fuel tank was not made strongly enough. Honda traced the problem to replacement welding stations that were installed without the needed quality check system, so tanks with weak welds reached vehicle assembly. If the weld fails, gasoline can leak at the tank connection.
There is no warning sign before failure. An owner can first notice fuel odor or visible fuel near the tank only after the weld has already opened, so do not wait for symptoms to decide whether the recall applies.

A matching year and model does not guarantee inclusion. Check your VIN to confirm whether this recall applies to your specific SUV.
What's the safety risk?
A failed fuel-tank weld can let fuel leak. Fuel near an ignition source increases the risk of a fire. If you see or smell fuel, park safely, keep ignition sources away, and call a Honda dealer before driving again. Repair is free at any franchised Honda dealer.
What should I do?
- Check your VIN to confirm your 2019 Honda Cr-V is included in this recall.
- Contact a franchised Honda dealer to schedule the free fuel-tank replacement that fixes the fuel leak risk from the tank weld.
- Bring the recall notice if Honda has mailed one. If not, reference recall number 19V569 when you call.
- Keep ignition sources away from the vehicle if you notice fuel leaking, then call the Honda dealer before moving it.
What happens at the repair
At the dealer, a Honda technician replaces the fuel tank covered by recall 19V569. The repair is available now, and the tank, parts, and labor are free under the recall. Out-of-pocket repairs already paid are handled through Honda's new vehicle limited warranty, not through a separate pre-notice reimbursement program. Honda says that warranty coverage would have provided the repair at no charge before the owner notice, so separate reimbursement is not offered for this campaign. Ask the service desk how warranty coverage applies if you have prior repair paperwork.

Frequently asked questions
What is recall 19V569?
Recall 19V569 covers 134 2019 Honda Cr-V vehicles with an insufficient weld between the fuel tank and vapor return line. If the weld fails, fuel can leak and raise the risk of fire near an ignition source. Honda dealers replace the fuel tank for free.
What should I do if my 2019 Honda Cr-V is on this recall?
Check your VIN to confirm your specific vehicle is included in recall 19V569. If it is included, contact a franchised Honda dealer to schedule the fuel tank replacement. Reference recall number 19V569 or Honda recall number A5I when you call.
Does the recall repair cost anything?
No. Federal recall law requires manufacturers to repair safety defects at no cost, and Honda's remedy says dealers replace the fuel tank free of charge. Parts and labor are covered at any franchised Honda dealer.
Is it safe to drive my Honda Cr-V before the repair?
The recall does not include a do-not-drive order. The safety issue is still serious: a failed weld can let fuel leak, raising fire risk near an ignition source. Check your VIN, then ask the Honda dealer for guidance if you smell fuel or see a leak.
What if I bought my 2019 Honda Cr-V used?
The free repair still applies. Federal recall law requires Honda to honor the recall regardless of ownership history. If the owner letter never reached you, check your VIN to confirm whether your specific Cr-V is included, then call a Honda dealer with recall number 19V569.
