What's wrong?
The passenger side door down view mirror on affected 2019-2020 Mack Anthem (An), Granite (Gr), Granite (Gu), Pinnacle (Chu), Pinnacle (Pi/Pn), and Pinnacle (Cxu) trucks is an exterior mirror mounted low on the passenger door. Its job is to give the driver a view down the passenger side of the truck, especially near the door and front side area during slow maneuvers.
On these trucks, a design change to the passenger door left the mirror attachment vulnerable to separating from the door. The recall covers trucks built with passenger side door down view mirror part number 82717494. When the attachment lets go, the mirror detaches, so the driver loses that down-side view until the mirror is replaced or secured with the corrected attachment.
