Recall 18V871 affects 152 2018-2019 Keystone Raptor recreational trailers for a misrouted propane line. Repair is free at any franchised Keystone dealer.
Keystone is recalling 152 2018-2019 Raptor recreational trailers because the quick-disconnect rubber propane line is routed so the outside grill can be stored with the fuel supply on and the flame lit. That can raise the risk of a fire, and Keystone dealers will correct the propane line routing free of charge.

What's wrong?
The outside grill on 2018-2019 Keystone Raptor trailers uses a rubber propane line with a quick disconnect fitting. That fitting is supposed to let the propane hose be detached before the grill is slid back into its storage compartment. In normal use, the hose carries fuel only while the grill is set up and connected for cooking.
On affected Raptors, Keystone says the rubber propane line was routed through the slide floor instead of through the compartment door opening. That path leaves enough room for the grill to close and move into the stowed position while the propane line remains connected. If the fuel supply is still open and the burner is still lit, the grill is no longer separated from the stored position the way it was designed to be.
The warning sign is visible during stowing. If the grill closes and pushes back into place while the rubber propane line is still attached, the line routing is wrong.

What's the safety risk?
If the grill is pushed into the stowed position while the flame is still lit, fire risk increases. Before storing the grill, turn it off and disconnect the propane line, then schedule the repair. Repair is free at any franchised Keystone dealer.

What happens at the repair
At the dealer, a Keystone technician replaces the quick disconnect rubber propane line for the outside grill. The new line requires disconnection before the grill is stored, so the fuel supply cannot remain connected while the grill is put away. Parts and labor are covered under the recall, and the repair is free at the dealer now. Ask the service desk to confirm the propane line routing before you leave.
