What's wrong?
The fuel lines in a 2014-2015 Maserati Quattroporte or Ghibli carry gasoline from the tank toward the engine while keeping fuel sealed inside the delivery system. These plastic lines run through the engine bay and underbody, where they need to hold fuel without leaking as the vehicle vibrates, heats up, and cools down.
On affected vehicles, foreign particles were present during fuel line production and assembly. Those particles scratched the inside of the plastic line, and that damage can grow during normal use. Once the line opens enough, fuel escapes instead of staying contained. Maserati identified a new design part and new part number for the replacement fuel pipe.
The warning sign is a fuel smell around the vehicle or visible fuel droplets or puddling under the vehicle. If you notice either one, treat it as evidence of a fuel leak and arrange dealer service without driving more than necessary.
Who's affected?
Covers the Quattroporte and Ghibli across the 2014-2015 model years, both tied to the same fuel system component.

The year and model narrow the scope, but the VIN decides. Check your VIN to confirm whether your specific sedan is included.
What's the safety risk?
A fuel leak near an ignition source increases the risk of a fire. Fuel odor, fuel drops, or puddling under the vehicle are warning signs. If you notice them, park safely, shut the vehicle off, keep ignition sources away, and call a Maserati dealer before driving farther. Repair is free at any franchised Maserati dealer.
What should I do?

- Contact your nearest franchised Maserati dealer to schedule the free fuel-line assembly replacement that addresses damaged fuel lines and fuel-leak risk.
- Bring the recall notice if Maserati mailed one. If not, reference recall number 18V831 and Maserati recall 378 when you call.
- Avoid parking near open flames or other ignition sources until the fuel-line repair is complete.
What happens at the repair
At the dealer, a Maserati technician replaces the fuel line assemblies, unless the same repair was already completed under recall 17V-045. The replacement parts and labor are free under recall 18V831. If you already paid for a related fuel line repair before the owner letter, Maserati's reimbursement process asks you to send the original receipt or other proof of payment to the company so it can confirm the expense.
