What's wrong?
The electrical control panel on affected 2007-2018 Integrated Tower Systems Mobile Tower Trailer units manages incoming power for the tower equipment mounted on the trailer deck. On trailers built for 220VAC/60Hz power, that panel is supposed to disconnect both incoming hot legs so the panel is not left energized when power is shut off.
The defect is in control panel CCP1828E. In this 220VAC/60Hz setup, the panel disconnect was not installed on one of the two incoming hot legs. That means one side of the incoming power path can stay live inside the panel, even when the disconnect has been used on the other leg.
There is no warning sign before failure. An owner or technician looking at the outside of the trailer or control panel would not see a normal-use symptom that proves one hot leg remains energized.
