What's wrong?
The engine-to-radiator cooling hose on the 2018-2019 Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio carries coolant between the engine and radiator. Coolant absorbs engine heat, then passes through the radiator so that heat can leave the system. The hose has to hold pressure, heat, and vibration without letting coolant escape.
On affected Stelvio vehicles, the hose was built with the wrong inner webbing material. That webbing is the reinforcement inside the hose wall. Because the material is inadequate for this part, the hose can leak coolant during normal use. A coolant leak lowers the system's ability to control engine temperature and can leave fluid under the vehicle or around the engine bay.
In certain cases, the MIL or oil lamp illuminates. The MIL is the malfunction indicator lamp, often called the check engine light. Treat that light as a warning sign and arrange Alfa Romeo dealer service.
Who's affected?
Both model years point to the same cooling-system hose, line, piping, and fitting component.

What's the safety risk?
A coolant loss can overheat the engine and stall the vehicle, increasing crash risk. If the MIL or oil lamp comes on, stop as soon as it is safe and call the dealer. Schedule the repair soon. Repair is free at any franchised Alfa Romeo dealer.
