What's wrong?
The rubber liquid propane hose on a 2018 Thor Motor Coach Ace carries LP gas from the coach's propane system to equipment that uses it. It is supposed to stay routed away from the wheel well and tire, with clamps holding the hose in place so it does not move into a rub point.
On affected Ace motorhomes, the hose was not secured with enough p-clamps, or the clamps were placed where they did not give the hose enough clearance. The hose sags into the wheel well and contacts the tire. As the tire turns, it rubs against the rubber hose and damages the line that is supposed to keep propane contained.
There is no warning sign before failure. Do not rely on smell, noise, or a dashboard message to catch this before the hose has been damaged.

At the dealer, a Thor Motor Coach technician inspects the rubber LP hose, replaces it if needed, and installs additional p-clamps or relocates the existing p-clamps so the hose is properly secured away from the tire area. Parts and labor are covered under the recall. Thor Motor Coach's general reimbursement plan is on file, so owners who already paid for a related LP hose repair before the recall notice should ask Thor Motor Coach customer service or the dealer how to submit documentation.
