Recall 18V364 covers 612 selected 2018-2019 Jayco Fifth Wheel trailers for a loose propane-tank strap. Repair will be free once available.
Jayco Fifth Wheel is recalling 612 2018-2019 Eagle, North Point, Pinnacle, Talon, Seismic, and Redundant Seismic trailers because the LP gas bottle strap can separate from its buckle and stop securing the propane tank. An unsecured tank can detach from the trailer or leak propane, which increases crash and fire risk; the dealer repair will be free once the remedy opens.

What's wrong?
The LP gas bottle on affected 2018-2019 Jayco Fifth Wheel recreational trailers sits in a carrier and feeds propane to the trailer's gas appliances. A retaining strap and buckle hold that bottle in place during travel. In NHTSA campaign 18V364, the issue is the strap, not the propane bottle itself.
The strap was made with the wrong die stamp during supplier manufacturing, which left the strap incorrectly crimped at the buckle. With that crimp wrong, the strap can separate from the latch or buckle. Once the strap separates, it no longer holds the propane tank securely, leaving the bottle unsecured in its mount.
There is no warning sign before failure. An owner is unlikely to see a dashboard alert or appliance problem first, because the defect is a mechanical hold-down strap at the propane bottle.
Who's affected?
The scope spans the Seismic, North Point, Pinnacle, Eagle, Talon, and Redundant Seismic lines across 2018-2019, all tied to the LPG tank assembly.

The year and model narrow the scope, but the VIN decides. Check your VIN to confirm whether your specific trailer is included.
What's the safety risk?
An unsecured propane tank can separate from the trailer, increasing crash risk. A loose tank also creates a propane leak risk that can lead to fire. If your VIN is included, schedule the repair soon and check that the propane tank is held firmly before towing. Repair will be free at any franchised Jayco Fifth Wheel dealer once available.
What should I do?
- Check your VIN to confirm your 2018-2019 Jayco Fifth Wheel Seismic, North Point, Pinnacle, Eagle, Talon, or Redundant Seismic is included in this recall.
- Call Jayco Fifth Wheel customer service at 1-800-517-9137 to confirm when the free propane-tank securing-strap replacement is open for your VIN.
- Reference recall number 18V364 and Jayco recall 9901385 when you call or speak with a dealer.
- Inspect the LP gas bottle strap before towing, and do not tow the trailer if the tank is loose or the strap has separated from its buckle.
- Schedule the propane-tank securing-strap replacement once Jayco Fifth Wheel confirms repair access; the new strap fixes the buckle-crimping defect that lets the tank come loose.
What happens at the repair
Jayco Fifth Wheel has identified the dealer fix: replacing the propane tank securing strap with a new strap that has the correct crimping. Because this recall is still listed as under development, do not assume the final repair can be scheduled yet. Once the repair opens, a Jayco Fifth Wheel technician will remove the defective strap and install the corrected strap, free under the recall. Parts and labor are covered.
