What's wrong?
The fuel line connectors on 2010-2017 Eldorado Mobility Amerivan vehicles join sections of the gasoline delivery system so fuel can move from the tank toward the engine without leaking. Each connector is held by a crimp fastener, a metal band compressed around the hose and fitting to keep the connection tight under vibration and fuel pressure.
On affected Amerivans, some crimp fasteners were not fully compressed and seated when the hose and connector were assembled. A crimp that is not seated leaves the connector less secure than designed. Fuel can escape at that joint because the hose and fitting are not held together with the intended clamping force.
An occupant can smell fuel near or inside the vehicle before the problem is found. Treat that fuel odor as the warning sign and have the fuel line connector inspected before continuing to use the van.

What's the safety risk?

What should I do?
- Check your VIN to confirm your 2010-2017 Eldorado Mobility Amerivan is included in this recall.
- Contact a franchised Eldorado Mobility dealer to schedule the free fuel-line replacement that fixes the leaking connector crimp issue.
- Bring the recall notice if Eldorado Mobility mailed one. If not, reference recall number 17V649 when you call.
- Tell the dealer if the van was repaired under recall 16V222; this recall requires the fuel-line repair again.
- Avoid open flames and ignition sources around the van until the repair is complete.
What happens at the repair
At the dealer, an Eldorado Mobility technician replaces the fuel lines with the new sourced line. The recall repair is free, with parts and labor covered. Even if the vehicle was repaired under the earlier superseded campaign, it still needs this fuel line replacement under recall 17V649. If you paid for a fuel line repair or replacement before the recall work, Eldorado Mobility credits qualifying repair costs through a warranty submission. Bring repair documentation so the service desk can process the claim.
