What's wrong?
The Wabco OnGuard Collision Mitigation System on the 2017 Entegra Cornerstone is the forward collision sensing system. It uses a radar unit mounted at the front of the coach to monitor the road ahead and support the collision-mitigation functions built into the vehicle.
On affected Cornerstone coaches, the radar system was installed upside down after Spartan Chassis gave Jayco incorrect installation instructions. The correct harness connector position is toward the street side, not the curbside. When the radar unit is mounted in the wrong orientation, its view and alignment are not as designed, reducing the system's functionality.
There is no warning sign before failure. An owner will not see a normal driving symptom that proves the radar unit is upside down, so the issue has to be confirmed by inspection.

What's the safety risk?
Reduced collision mitigation function gives the Cornerstone less assistance in avoiding or reducing an impact, increasing crash risk. Until the system is corrected and recalibrated, drive cautiously and leave extra following distance instead of relying on the collision mitigation system. Repair is free at any franchised Entegra dealer.
What should I do?

- Bring the recall notice if Entegra mailed one.
- Drive cautiously until the repair is complete; leave extra following distance because collision mitigation functionality is reduced.
What happens at the repair
At the dealer, an Entegra technician checks the Wabco OnGuard Collision Mitigation System, corrects the radar orientation, and recalibrates the system so it reads the road ahead as intended. Parts and labor are covered under the recall. The repair is available now, so an included VIN can be scheduled through the dealer service department. Ask the service desk to confirm that the radar was reoriented and the system calibration was completed before pickup.
