Recall 16V865 covers 86 2017 Livin Lite Camplight and Quicksilver 6.0 trailers for LP line fire risk. Repair is free at franchised Livin Lite dealers.
Livin Lite is recalling 86 2017 Camplight and Quicksilver 6.0 trailers and campers because a rubber LP gas line connects the range hood and pilot light where a hard pipe is required. That heat can melt the line and raise the risk of fire; Livin Lite dealers will complete the repair free of charge.

What's wrong?
The LP gas line on 2017 Livin Lite Camplight and Quicksilver 6.0 campers carries propane to the cooktop and pilot-light area. A short copper hard pipe is supposed to connect the cooktop area, because a fixed metal line keeps the fuel path controlled near heat and flame.
On affected units, Livin Lite installed a rubber LP gas line where a 12-inch copper hard pipe should have been. The problem started after a switch to a Suburban cooktop. That unit did not include the hard pipe used on the prior Dometic product, and the required copper tail piece was not added.
Owners can notice a gas smell at the cooktop or excessive flame coming up from under the cooktop. Those are warning signs that the LP gas line needs attention before the cooktop is used again.
Who's affected?
Both listed models are covered for the same LPG lines and fittings issue.

A matching 2017 Livin Lite model does not guarantee inclusion. Check your VIN to confirm whether your specific trailer is included.
What's the safety risk?
Heat at the pilot light can melt the rubber LP gas line, increasing the risk of fire. If you smell gas at the cooktop or see flame coming up from under it, shut off the appliance and call the dealer before using the range again. Repair is free at any franchised Livin Lite dealer.

- Bring the recall notice if Livin Lite mailed one. If not, reference recall number 16V865 when you call.
- Keep the range and pilot light off until the repair is complete.
What happens at the repair
At the dealer, a Livin Lite technician installs a 12 inch copper extension between the range hood and pilot light, replacing the rubber LP gas line in that section with hard pipe. The recall repair is free, with parts and labor covered. Livin Lite has a general reimbursement plan on file for owners who already paid for this same repair before the recall work was completed. Bring repair invoices and payment proof to the service desk, or contact Livin Lite customer service to ask how to submit documentation.
