What's wrong?
The sunroof assembly on the 2007-2009 Bentley Continental Flying Spur uses a glass panel held to a surrounding frame. The frame supports the glass, seals the roof opening, and keeps the panel fixed while the car is moving or the sunroof is opened and closed.
On recalled cars, supplier cleaning during sunroof production was not performed to the required specification. That left the bond between the glass and frame weaker than intended. Over time, the glass can delaminate, meaning the adhesive bond separates from the frame. If that separation progresses, the glass panel can detach from the car while driving. This recall adds adhesive between the sunroof frame and glass panel to correct that bond.
There is no warning sign before failure. Do not expect an advance symptom before the glass separates from the frame.
