Recall 15V765 affects 813 2006-2014 Glaval Bus transit buses for wheelchair-lift link-arm defects. Repair is free at any franchised Glaval Bus dealer.
Glaval Bus is recalling 813 2006-2014 Universal, Titan Ii, Titan, Sport, and Primetime transit buses because certain Ricon wheelchair lifts have folding link arms with oversized pivot holes. If bearings move out of position, the stowed platform can move excessively, fail its mounting, and fall when the doors open, increasing injury risk for the lift operator; Glaval Bus dealers will complete the free repair.

What's wrong?
The wheelchair lift on 2006-2014 Glaval Bus Universal, Titan Ii, Titan, Sport, and Primetime buses is mobility equipment that raises and lowers a passenger between the ground and the bus floor. Its folding link arms and bearings guide the platform as it moves, then hold the mechanism in the correct position when the lift is stowed.
On the recalled Ricon lifts, the folding link arms have pivot holes that are too large. That extra room lets the bearings shift out of place instead of staying seated in the link arms. Once a bearing moves, the knuckle link arms can bend, and the platform can crack while the lift is in the stowed position.
The warning sign is visual. During inspection, a bearing that has moved out of position can be seen, so the lift should be checked before it is used for passenger loading.

The year and model narrow the scope, but the VIN decides. Check your VIN to confirm whether your specific bus is included.
What's the safety risk?
A displaced bearing can let the stowed wheelchair lift platform move excessively and damage the platform mounting. If that mounting fails, the platform can fall out when the doors open, increasing injury risk for the lift operator. A shifted bearing is visible during inspection. Keep people clear of the lift area and schedule the repair soon. Repair is free at any franchised Glaval Bus dealer.
What should I do?
- Check your VIN to confirm your 2006-2014 Glaval Bus Universal, Titan Ii, Titan, Sport, or Primetime is included in this recall.
- Contact a franchised Glaval Bus dealer to schedule the free Ricon wheelchair-lift link-arm and platform inspection.
- Bring the recall notice if Glaval Bus has mailed one. If not, reference recall number 15V765 when you call.
- Avoid using the wheelchair lift until the link arms, bearings, and platform are inspected and any damaged parts are replaced.
- Call Ricon customer service at 1-800-322-2884 with lift questions before the repair visit.
What happens at the repair
At the dealer, a Glaval Bus technician inspects the wheelchair lift link arms for damage or displaced bearings, then checks the platform for cracks. Any damaged link arms, bearings, platform parts, or related lift components covered by the recall are replaced free of charge. Parts and labor are covered under the recall. If you already paid for a related wheelchair lift repair before the recall work, Glaval Bus's general reimbursement plan covers eligible documented expenses. Bring receipts or repair paperwork to the service desk when you ask about reimbursement.

Frequently asked questions
What is recall 15V765?
Recall 15V765 covers 813 2006-2014 Glaval Bus Universal, Titan Ii, Titan, Sport, and Primetime buses with certain Ricon wheelchair lifts. The lift link-arm bearings can move out of position, which can let the stowed platform move excessively and fail at its mounting.
What should I do if my 2006-2014 Glaval Bus Universal, Titan Ii, Titan, Sport, or Primetime is on this recall?
Check your VIN to confirm your specific bus is included in recall 15V765. If it is, contact Glaval Bus customer service or Ricon customer service and ask for the link-arm, bearing, and platform inspection. Reference recall 15V765 and Forest River recall number 51-11102015-0108 when you call.
Is the recall repair free?
Yes. Federal recall law requires the manufacturer to repair the defect at no cost, and the recall remedy says damaged lift parts will be replaced free of charge. The inspection checks the link arms, bearings, and platform for damage or cracks.
What is the safety risk?
The risk is injury to the lift operator. If the lift bearings move out of position, the stowed platform can move too much and the platform mounting can fail. When the doors open, the wheelchair lift platform can fall out of the bus.
What if I bought the Glaval Bus used?
The free recall repair still applies. Recalls follow the vehicle, not the first owner. Check your VIN to confirm whether your specific Universal, Titan Ii, Titan, Sport, or Primetime bus is included, then contact Glaval Bus customer service or Ricon customer service for repair instructions.
