Recall 15V761 covers 904 2016 Airstream travel trailers for propane-regulator leaks. Free repair at any franchised International dealer.
Airstream is recalling 904 2016 International, Sport, Classic, Land Yacht, Flying Cloud, and Eddie Bauer trailers under recall 15V761 because propane gas can leak into the regulator's plastic gas level indicator window and crack it. A cracked window can let propane escape and raise the risk of fire; an International dealer will complete the free repair.

What's wrong?
The auto changeover propane gas regulator on these 2016 Airstream Classic, Flying Cloud, International, Sport, Eddie Bauer, and Land Yacht trailers sits between the propane bottles on the trailer A frame. Its job is to control propane flow from the bottles and switch supply from one bottle to the other so appliances get steady gas pressure. A plastic sight glass in the regulator shows the gas level or changeover status.
On affected trailers, the retaining cap for the regulator diaphragm was crimped improperly. The diaphragm is the flexible internal part that helps regulate gas pressure. Because the cap does not seal as designed, propane can seep around the diaphragm and into the plastic sight glass. Propane exposure degrades that plastic until it cracks, which allows a slow propane leak at the regulator.
The warning sign is visible at the regulator. Look for a cracked sight glass in the plastic indicator window, especially before using the propane system.

What's the safety risk?
A cracked indicator window on the propane regulator is a propane leak risk. That leak increases the risk of fire. Check the sight glass for cracks before you use the propane system, and have the dealer replace the regulator and required hoses. Repair is free at any franchised International dealer.
