What's wrong?
The parking brake on the 2016 Coachmen Mirada is the separate hold system that keeps the motorhome from moving after it is parked. When you press the parking brake pedal, the pedal assembly and actuator apply cable tension so the brake holds the vehicle in place, even when the service brake pedal is released.
On affected Mirada motorhomes, the parking brake actuator was not calibrated to the updated chassis brake design. MORryde modified the chassis rails and did not follow Ford's cable-tension procedure for that design. As a result, the parking brake system does not hold properly with the pedal fully depressed. It also does not release fully when the pedal is released, which leaves the brake partly engaged.
There is no warning sign before failure. The first sign is the parking brake failing to hold the motorhome after you set it, or dragging after you release the pedal.
