What's wrong?
The high pressure liquid propane hose in these 2013-2016 Winnebago motorhomes carries LP gas through the coach fuel system before it reaches the appliances that use it. That hose has to stay flexible enough to seal tightly at its metal crimp fitting, where the hose is squeezed onto the end connector.
On affected Trend, Tour, Journey, Era, Viva, Reyo, Navion, Meridian, Via, View, Travato, and Elipse motorhomes, the hose material hardens with age. As it hardens, the material at the crimp fitting shrinks. That breaks the seal at the fitting and lets LP gas leak from the high-pressure side of the system. A propane leak can lead to a fire or explosion.
There is no warning sign before failure. If the hose has hardened and the crimp seal opens, the leak can start without a dashboard light or other clear advance notice.

What's the safety risk?
An LP leak near an ignition source increases the risk of a fire. Until your VIN is checked and the repair is complete, keep ignition sources away from the LP system and ask the dealer for guidance before using propane equipment again. Repair will be free at any franchised Winnebago dealer once available.
What should I do?
- Check your VIN to confirm your 2013-2016 Winnebago Trend, Tour, Journey, Era, Viva, Reyo, Navion, Meridian, Via, View, Travato, or Elipse is included in this recall.
- Contact Winnebago customer service for current repair instructions before scheduling service.
- Ask a franchised Winnebago dealer about the free LP-hose replacement that fixes the propane hose leak at the crimp fitting.
- Bring the recall notice if Winnebago mailed one. If not, reference recall number 15V625 when you call.
- Avoid using the LP system until the hose is inspected or replaced, and keep ignition sources away if you smell propane.
What happens at the repair
At the dealer, a Winnebago technician will replace the high pressure LP hose that can harden and leak at the crimp fitting. Because this campaign is listed as under development, do not treat the final repair as ready to schedule until Winnebago or the dealer confirms availability for your VIN. Once the repair opens, the replacement hose, parts, and labor are free under recall 15V625.
