What's wrong?
The recalled Holiday Rambler 2014-2015 Presidential and Alumascape fifth wheel trailers use a Frigidaire KG series CFMV154CLS convection microwave. The keypad membrane is the thin switch layer under the control buttons. When it works normally, it sends a start, stop, or setting command only after someone presses the panel.
On these trailers, the keypad membrane inside the microwave is faulty. It can send a start command without anyone touching the controls, which lets the microwave turn on and begin heating while the trailer is unattended. Replacing the keypad membrane prevents that self-activation.
There is no warning sign before failure. Because the problem is inside the microwave control panel, an owner does not get a visible cue before the microwave starts on its own.
Who's affected?
Covers two Holiday Rambler trailer models across the 2014 and 2015 model years, both tied to the same recreational vehicle/trailer equipment component.

| 2015 Holiday Rambler Alumascape | Recreational vehicle/trailer |

A matching year and model does not guarantee inclusion. Check your VIN to confirm whether this recall applies to your specific trailer.
What's the safety risk?
A microwave that starts on its own can ignite contents left inside and cause a fire. If your VIN is included, keep the microwave empty when it is not being used and arrange the recall repair soon. Repair is free at any franchised Holiday Rambler dealer.
What should I do?
- Check your VIN to confirm your 2014-2015 Holiday Rambler Presidential or Alumascape is included in this recall.
- Contact a franchised Holiday Rambler dealer to schedule the free microwave membrane/keypad replacement that stops the Frigidaire microwave from starting by itself.
- Call Holiday Rambler customer service at 1-800-509-3417 if you need help finding the right dealer, and reference recall number 15V257.
- Bring the recall notice to the appointment if you have it.
- Keep the microwave clear of contents until the repair is complete.
What happens at the repair
At the dealer, Holiday Rambler service staff work with Electrolux appliance service personnel to replace the microwave membrane/keypad component. The replacement is free under the recall, including covered parts and labor. Out-of-pocket microwave repairs already paid are handled through the microwave manufacturer's warranty, not through a separate reimbursement program, because the involved microwaves are covered by that warranty. Ask the service desk how warranty coverage applies if you have prior repair paperwork.
