What's wrong?
The rear brake line on the 2015 KTM 690 Enduro R carries brake fluid between the ABS pressure modulator and the foot brake cylinder. The ABS pressure modulator is the part that adjusts brake pressure during anti lock braking, while the foot brake cylinder turns pedal force into hydraulic pressure. That pressure is what applies the rear brake.
On these motorcycles, the crank case ventilation hose spring clamp was positioned incorrectly during assembly. If the clamp faces the ABS brake line instead of away from it, it can contact the line and damage it after the motorcycle leaves the factory. A damaged brake line can lose hydraulic pressure, which reduces or removes rear braking function.
The warning sign is sudden loss of rear braking pressure. If that happens, the rear brake has already started to fail and rear braking function can be lost completely.
