What's wrong?
The Accuslide slide system moves the expandable room in and out of the trailer body on affected 2015-2016 Highland Ridge Tt Journeyer, Light, Mesa Ridge, Roamer, 3X, and Open Range 3X trailers. The cable and chain connector screws hold that room to the sliding mechanism, so the room stays locked to the system instead of moving on its own.
The original self-tapping screws were over-tempered by the screw supplier, which made the metal brittle. When those screws break, the cable connection loses its hold on the slide room. The room can then extend unintentionally while the trailer is moving, instead of staying secured for travel. The replacement uses a machine-threaded screw instead of the original self-tapping screw.
The warning sign is slack cabling in the slide system. If the cable looks loose or no longer holds tension, the connector screws have failed or are losing their hold.

What happens at the repair
At the dealer, a Highland Ridge Tt technician replaces the screws that attach the slide room mechanism to the cable system. The work addresses the fasteners that let the expanding room move unintentionally while the trailer is in motion. The recall repair is free, with parts and labor covered by Highland Ridge Tt. Recall 15V209 covers 238 2015-2016 Highland Ridge Tt Journeyer, Light, Mesa Ridge, Roamer, 3X, and Open Range 3X trailers. The slide room attaching screws can fail, letting the room extend while the trailer is moving and increasing crash risk. Dealers will replace the screws for free.
What should I do if my 2015-2016 Highland Ridge Tt Journeyer, Light, Mesa Ridge, Roamer, 3X, or Open Range 3X is on this recall?
Check your VIN to confirm your specific trailer is included in recall 15V209. If it is, contact a franchised Highland Ridge Tt dealer to schedule replacement of the slide room mechanism attaching screws. Reference recall number 15V209 when you call. The repair is free.
Is the recall repair free?
Yes. Federal recall law requires manufacturers to repair safety defects at no cost, and Highland Ridge Tt dealers will replace the slide room mechanism attaching screws free of charge. Parts and labor are covered for included trailers.
What is the safety risk?
The safety risk is unintended slide room movement while the trailer is in motion. If the room extends during travel, the trailer can become harder to handle and the chance of a crash increases. Confirm the VIN and arrange the free screw replacement before towing again.
What if I bought this Highland Ridge Tt trailer used?
The free recall repair still applies. Recall coverage follows the VIN, not the first owner, so a used Journeyer, Light, Mesa Ridge, Roamer, 3X, or Open Range 3X trailer still qualifies if its VIN is included. Check your VIN and give recall 15V209 to the dealer.
