Prevost is recalling 455 2007-2012 Xlii, X3-45, H3-41, H3-45, and H3-45 Vip vehicles because a missing fuel line locating clip lets the fuel line rub against a braided coolant hose. The abrasion can lead to a fuel leak and fire risk; Prevost dealers will complete the recall repair free of charge.

What's wrong?
The fuel line on affected 2007-2012 Prevost Xlii, H3-45 Vip, X3-45, H3-45, and H3-41 coaches carries diesel fuel through the engine area. A small locating clip is supposed to hold that line in the right position, separated from the braided coolant hose. The coolant hose carries engine coolant and has a tougher outer braid, so the fuel line needs clearance from it.
On some coaches, that locating clip was not installed. Without the clip, the fuel line can move close enough to rub against the braided coolant hose during normal operation. Over time, that contact can wear into the fuel line instead of letting it stay fixed in its intended path.
There is no warning sign before failure. An owner or driver is not expected to get a dashboard alert, noise, or visible symptom before the line has been damaged.

What's the safety risk?

What should I do?
- Check your VIN to confirm your 2007-2012 Prevost Xlii, H3-45 Vip, X3-45, H3-45, or H3-41 is included in this recall.
- Contact a franchised Prevost dealer to schedule the free fuel-line inspection and repair that fixes the missing locating clip and fuel line abrasion risk.
- Ask the dealer to reference recall number 15V122 and Prevost recall SR15-04 when scheduling.
- Bring the recall notice if you have it, and ask the dealer to confirm the fuel line and coolant line are properly secured before the vehicle is returned.
- Avoid unnecessary driving until the fuel line is inspected and secured.
What happens at the repair
At the dealer, a Prevost technician inspects the fuel line for abrasion where a missing locating clip lets it rub against the braided coolant hose. If the line is worn, the technician replaces it, then secures the fuel line and coolant line so they stay separated. Parts and labor are free under recall 15V122. If you already paid for this repair before the owner notice, Prevost addresses reimbursement case by case under the Volvo Trucks standard reimbursement plan. Bring repair documentation and ask the service desk or Prevost customer service how to submit it.
