What's wrong?
The powertrain wiring harness on the 2015-2016 Ic Bus Casb and Cesb school buses is a bundled set of electrical wires for engine and drivetrain controls. It is supposed to be clipped away from fuel plumbing and heater hoses so vibration and engine movement do not let hard parts rub together. The high pressure fuel line carries diesel fuel to an injector, so it needs clear space around it.
On affected buses, the harness was routed or clipped with too little clearance from the injector fuel line. Normal vibration lets the harness loom rub against the metal line. That chafing wears material from the fuel line, and once the line is damaged, diesel fuel can leak near the engine.
The driver can notice an engine miss before the problem is found. Treat that as the warning sign on an included bus, and have the bus inspected before it stays in service.
Who's affected?

What's the safety risk?

What should I do?
- Check your VIN to confirm your 2015-2016 Ic Bus Casb or Cesb school bus is included in this recall.
- Contact a franchised Ic Bus dealer to schedule the free harness saddle and cable tie strap repair that keeps the powertrain wiring harness clear of the high pressure fuel line.
- Bring the recall notice if you received one. If not, reference recall number 15V084 when you call.
- Drive only as directed by the dealer until the repair is complete, and keep the bus out of service if fuel is leaking in the engine compartment.
What happens at the repair
At the dealer, an Ic Bus technician installs an additional harness saddle and cable tie strap so the powertrain wiring harness has proper clearance from the high pressure fuel line. The recall repair is free, and parts and labor are covered. If you paid for the same harness clearance repair before the owner notice, the manufacturer's standard reimbursement plan applies. Follow the reimbursement instructions included with the customer notification and keep repair documentation for the claim.
