What's wrong?
The door lock on 2006-2013 Four Wheel & Six-Pac Truck Campers secures the camper's exterior door. It is supposed to latch the door for travel and let the deadbolt move fully between locked and unlocked positions. The key cylinder turns the internal lock parts so the deadbolt slides cleanly when the owner locks or unlocks the door.
On affected campers, the Fastec brand lock can let the key come out at the wrong point in that movement. That leaves the lock mechanism out of position. When that happens, the deadbolt can jam instead of sliding back cleanly, leaving the door locked even though the owner is using the key.
There is no warning sign before failure. The lock can feel normal until the key is removed in the position that jams the deadbolt.

The year and model narrow the scope, but the VIN decides. Check your VIN to confirm whether your specific RV is included.
What's the safety risk?
If the deadbolt jams, the inside door lock can jam too. A person inside the truck camper can be locked in and unable to exit, increasing the risk of injury. Avoid locking the deadbolt while someone is inside until the lock is inspected through the recall repair. Repair will be free at any franchised Four Wheel & Six-Pac dealer once available.

What happens at the repair
At the service appointment, a Four Wheel & Six-Pac technician works with Fastec to inspect the Fastec-brand door lock cylinders covered by the recall. If the cylinders need replacement, Fastec coordinates the replacement work. The final dealer repair will be free once available, with parts and labor covered under the recall. Before bringing the camper in, contact Four Wheel & Six-Pac or Fastec to confirm where the lock inspection and cylinder replacement will be handled.
